Patricia McNicholas-Thomas, M. Ed.

Patricia McNicholas is the owner, administrator, and Kindergarten Math teacher at Centre Square Montessori.  She started CSMS in 1972 in a church in East Norriton, later moving it to its location in 1975.  Since the age of 13 Miss Patricia dreamed of her own red schoolhouse.  Centre Square was red until 1989.

Patricia graduated from Mt Saint Joseph's Academy and went o Chestnut Hill College.  She later transferred to West Chester University to earn a teaching degree.  In her sophomore year she went to Ravenhill Academy to observe a Montessori classroom- she fell in love!  Her little red schoolhouse would be Montessori.  After graduating with a BS in Education, Patricia studied at Ravenhill (The Montessori Institute of Philadelphia)where she received an AMI diploma.  Many of her lessons were taught by Mother Isabelle who was trained by Maria Montessori.  She received a Master of Education from Beaver College in 1978.  Centre Square Montessori Schoolhouse kept growing.  In 1990, Patricia purchased the land next door which now houses the Toddler Cottage, Centre Square Academy, and Taster.

Gail Treml

Gail is Patricia's Administrative Assistant at Centre Square Montessori.  She works in the office located upstairs in the main building.  Gail always enjoys seeing the children's happy faces and answering any questions that parents may have.

Barbara Pettit

Barbara graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a duel degree in Early Chilhood Education and a Montessori pre-primary degree.  After graduation she worked in a variety of educational facilities.  She has taught in private schools, head-start programs, and corporate daycare centers.  Since she has taught at Centre Square Montessori for the past 20 years, she has worked in almost every room including toddler and the Kindergarten Program.  While teaching, she received her Master's Degree from Arcadia University in Special Education.

Cassandra Tronoski

Cassandra is our Kindergarten teacher at CSMS.  She graduated from Centre Square Montessori in 1986.  After CSMS, Miss Cassandra attended Gwynedd Mercy Academy for 12 years.  Upon graduation from Gwynedd, she attended St. Joseph's University, where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and participated on the women's lacrosse team.  In 2007, she attended NAMC where she received a certification in Montessori 3-6 Education. She has been teaching for 6 years. Cassandra has worked with children her entire life and has always wanted to be a teacher.

Bonnie Perrone

Bonnie works in the Toddler Room.  She has an Associates Degree Early Childhood Education from Montgomery County Community College and she has taken training courses at Princeton Montessori in Princeton, NJ.  She has previously worked with toddler aged children for the past 9 years at Centre Square Montessori.
